One of the things that I did not consider when I was looking into earning my medical transcriptionist certificate is that I needed to upgrade my computer. I had a rather old computer system and the courses on line that I was taking required a few things that I did not have. So my advice when you are looking into starting any degree program on line is that you make sure that you know the computer requirements. It was a great excuse for me to go out and buy a new computer but some people may not have that money option.
