The Safety Of The Internet
August 11th, 2008 | by admin |How safe is it to use the Internet? I'm not very computer savvy, so I've always wondered about this. If I log on to a computer, am I immediately vulnerable? How do I know if a website is safe to use? Is there an easy way to spot a scam? How can I protect my computer and myself? These are all basic questions that I need answers to in order to feel more comfortable using the computer and the Internet. Are there computer security measures that I can take into my own hands to protect myself? Are there simple things that I can do such as carry out a wireless security audit on my wireless connection or check that my firewall is doing its job?
