How to wrap up your presentation

October 6th, 2008 | by admin |

Many of the presenters that I have seen know what they are doing. They are well versed in all aspects of making a successful presentation, have grasped all the technical and physical aspects of handling the multimedia presentation and their body language during the presentation cannot be faulted. Yet I would still class the presentation as a failure. And why is that? Because when the pre-planned phase of the presentation has ended, they have no idea how to wrap it up properly. The audience should be on a high after a successful presentation, and will be brimming with questions. The complete presenter will never allow their audience to leave the room until they have drawn some form of feedback from them. They will invite questions; probe their audience for a reaction, even a negative one. They will be trained never to forget that a successful presentation needs to lead to a next step in a series of negotiations.
